Andrei Soldatov is an investigative journalist, based in Moscow. Together with colleague Irina Borogan, he is a co-founder and editor of the Agentura.Ru website.
Soldatov and Borogan have written two books: The Red Web: The Struggle Between Russia's Digital Dictators and the New Online Revolutionaries (2015) and The New Nobility: The Restoration of Russia's Security State and the Enduring Legacy of the KGB (2010).
Andrei Soldatov, graduated at Moscow State Social University, worked as a journalist for newspapers and media-outlest like Izvestia, Kommersant, Novaya Gazeta, Vedomosti and Ekho Moskvy. As free-lance journalist he also contributes to The Guardian, Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy.
